Early Neurological Stimulation: Building Strong Foundations from the Start

ENS Pup.png

During the first weeks of life, our puppies participate in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of brief, gentle exercises performed during a specific developmental window, typically from days 3–16. ENS introduces mild, age-appropriate stimulation through touch, positioning, and temperature changes, helping expose the developing nervous system to small, controlled challenges.

At Rocky Mountain Irish Setters, ENS is just one part of our intentional early-development program, alongside loving daily handling, socialization, and carefully introduced new experiences—all designed to help our puppies grow into confident, adaptable, well-rounded companions.
